Trojan Trends Volume 2

Following on from our first Trojan Trends commentary, we had such positive feedback that we wanted to share more of our knowledge and the ways in which we take into consideration consumer requirements in all we do. With over four decades’ experience manufacturing baths for the international market, we believe we are well-placed to give advice and share our expertise.

While we all know that a bathroom is a complex purchase, where customers will continue to want reassurance and expertise from their retailer and manufacturer, did you know that Trojan offer a 25 year guarantee on almost all Trojan baths, to help put a consumer’s mind at ease? Manufacturing all products at our three sites in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire we have strict quality assurance processes and an open door policy for any of our customers to visit site at any time.

From recent NHBC research, we also know that there are many factors that encourage spending on the home, such as the changing nature of households, including family formation, young adults living with their parents for longer or elderly relatives being cared for in the family home. This encourages households to reconfigure their homes to create separate zones for different generations or to extend. With the rise of multi-generational living, combined with an ageing population who continue to live in their own homes, Trojan have expanded the Bathe Easy range of products to include more easy access baths, such as the Liberty, Marcella and Freedom, as well as brassware and accessories such as anti-scald shower mixers and taps. We believe that bath time should be relaxing for all no matter what the physical ability or age and that is why Bathe Easy is central to our future plans.

The internet has made it a simple matter to shop around on price and even when in the store, most shoppers have smartphones with them and can check alternative suppliers and their deals. Given that consumers naturally research products on line before purchasing, we have ensured the Trojan Baths website is both easy to navigate and view all products but is also the most aesthetically pleasing for the consumer too.

According to Mintel (Bathroom an Bathroom Accessories, August 2018), one and two person households will account for almost 63% of households in the UK by 2022, creating a demand for smaller properties and apartments and in turn a requirement for space saving, smaller baths. Here at Trojan, we have a beautiful bath that is perfect for any size of bathroom. When it comes to our everyday single ended baths, the 1200mm Cascade and Derwent baths are perfect for those looking for simplicity at a more affordable price. Even our twin skin freestanding baths can fit into those bathrooms that don’t have a huge amount of space with the 1455mm Alcora and the 1470mm Uppingham being perfect examples of premium design fitting with market requirements.

Essentially, we have developed the Trojan range to ensure we have a wide range of bathroom brands and products to cater for all consumers at accessible price points. Bathe Easy is designed especially for those who are less able, Ramsden & Mosley is our premium offering that has a range of matt and gloss freestanding baths. Aquair is our whirlpool/airspa offering that can be added to almost all Trojan baths. Within the Trojan range are ultra slim shower trays, shower screens, bath panels and EPS tiling solutions. We have ensured we have expanded into all of those areas that our expertise and knowledge allows to offer a truly long lasting product.
