Celebrating Yorkshire

What better month to celebrate everything that is great about Yorkshire than August, the month of Yorkshire Day!

With our roots firmly in this beautiful county, Trojan was established in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, back in 1975. From small beginnings, we are now one of the largest and most respected manufacturers of acrylic baths in Europe, with historic Yorkshire still where we proudly call home. Operating from three sites; Ramsden Mills, Firm Mills and Ashbrow Mills, our specialist factories sit across 21 acres of Huddersfield, where we will always remain. We love Huddersfield, so find it no surprise that it has been chosen as one of the host towns for the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race!

Founded by Maurice Mosley over four decades ago, Trojan remains a family business. We’re proud to be a true Yorkshire company lead by a Yorkshire family with David, Maurice’s youngest son, at the helm as Managing Director. David’s brother Adam is Director of Thomas Crapper, the iconic sanitaryware brand, also owned by the Mosley family.

Over our three sites, Trojan now employs over 180 people – with many of them living in the local area. Over the years, we have always worked hard to retain jobs in Yorkshire. Training, development and investing in Yorkshire people is something we feel very strongly about, and something we will continue to do.

Sustainability is a big concern for Trojan, so we have on-site recycling facilities to ensure our impact on the ecosystem is kept to a minimum. Protecting Yorkshire and our local, as well as global, environment is something we care deeply about. Yorkshire is our home and part of our heritage, and we continually work to reduce our carbon footprint for generations both now, and in the future.

From the day Trojan was founded, we have consistently aimed to produce quality products at a fair price. Investing in plant and equipment ensures we will keep manufacturing here in Yorkshire, continuing to evolve and lead the way in a global market.
